Job Description

This is a part-time role for a total of 19 hours weekly.

The Custodial Records Associate maintains collateral files and mortgage loan documents in support of the Wealth, Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking business line. Receives and prepares incoming materials for input into inventory, including receiving and shipping files/packages between various locations and verifying the quantity and condition of materials. Maintains orderly and accurate record of all files and related documents in Terminal Digit order. Locates requested documents and files to meet a deadline and accommodates rushed and established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Performs manual movement of file folders of varying volumes while maintaining organization. Maintains and completes inventories as needed, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Researches file or document activity as needed. Makes new labels for files and attaches to files or matches new file folders with labels to files. Re-files all documents in a timely manner, including inserting loose documents into corresponding files already shelved. Processes loan documents that are coming in or out for an acquisition or sale and incoming release requests (file requests and imaging requests) according to Agency and Private Investor requirements. Performs routine and/or repetitive clerical functions according to standard procedures or instructions. Responsible for researching various issues and corresponding with our Corporate Trust Clients to ensure client satisfaction and compliance with custodial agreements.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • One to two years of related experience

  • Physical requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation): Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 20 lbs or more; standing for long periods; able to bend or squat; willingness to climb stepladders up to 10 feet high.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Good understanding of general office procedures and clerical skills

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills

  • Ability to complete repetitive tasks daily

  • Meet production goals including deadlines and quality control standards

  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills

  • Basic knowledge of personal computers and other office equipment

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to collect and organize information

  • Strong team player where you are able to share the knowledge and help out as needed

  • Ability to be flexible in carrying out daily tasks

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $20.00 - $20.29 - $22.32
