Job DescriptionThis role is an exciting opportunity to join a growing global acquirer and play a major role in the development of Product Strategy as it relates to the airline vertical.

The successful candidate will understand the dynamics of the payments market and develop product strategies together with accompanying investment cases proposing product initiatives at Elavon. The successful candidate will draw on a deep understanding of the global airlines market from the perspective of its payments needs and payments ecosystem including acquiring, gateway and other downstream integrated payments partners.

The successful candidate will possess the rare combination of being both a strategic thinker and effective change planner.

To succeed in this role the candidate will be able to demonstrate exceptional strategic competence combined with commercial acumen. Be able to demonstrate previous success in commercially focused product planning or in a strategy development function in a global vertical, preferably within airlines.

The candidate will have lead in the development of product strategy in a payments organisation and will have experience of managing through a matrix organisation and be extremely results orientated.

This role will report to the Head of Product, Europe but will collaborate deeply with the Global Airlines team. Responsibilities will include developing and delivering the global airlines strategy and planning and guiding its execution. This role requires a combination of business and industry knowledge, an ability to align with corporate and business line strategies, and the execution skills to turn ideas into reality. In addition, this role will responsible for leading our go-to-market refresh.

Responsibilities include: Represent the interests of the Airline Vertical throughout the entire product line lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities; Evaluates Elavon’s current position in the market and strategy; Implements the product strategy and roadmaps; Discovers and validates market problems (both existing and future); Seeks new market opportunities by leveraging the company’s distinctive strengths; Determines the optimal distribution strategy; Delivers market requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justifications; In partnership with the Airlines Team, develops value proposition and pricing strategies; Develops and implements comprehensive go-to-market plans, working with all departments to execute; Maintains expert knowledge of competing product offerings; Acts as a leader within the company working between geographic regions to drive revenue and product development.

Main Qualifications & Skills include: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent; Ten or more years of experience as a Product Manager or Strategist, including: Experience managing teams Experience in Airline payments Demonstrated success defining and launching successful products Technical background, with experience implementing products that depend on technical solutions Five or more years of Airline, PSP experience preferably at the intersection of Payments and Airlines; Five or more years of management experience or industry experience; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong team building and teamwork skills; Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive decisions; Examples of work and quantifiable results to be provided; Result and solution oriented, self-reliant and customer-oriented and have a strong analytical and strategic mind-set; Confident, professional and convincing and possess first class communication and presentation skills.
