Job Description

The Trust Team Manager must demonstrate the highest competence and inspire confidence among team members and partners alike. He/she must be an inspirational leader taking ownership of the employee engagement of the teams. Ultimately, this individual must coach and mentor the team members to enable the creation of highly productive teams.

  • Responsible for the overall productivity of the team utilizing and adhering to the standards of excellence culture.

  • Manages and builds highly productive teams through monthly (at a minimum) coaching/assessment sessions with each individual team member.

  • Will provide work direction to team, delegating tasks and providing oversight as appropriate, supervising schedules and providing performance management.

  • Reviews monthly management reports and acts upon any delinquent tasks by following up with the responsible individual and coaching on importance of SLAs and client responses.

  • Works closely with the head of the business line and other team managers on budget, technology, process efficiency, and strategic direction of the site.

  • Represents the administration site on required projects and committees.

  • Builds a respected alliance with their team and internal support partners.

  • Travel as needed to understand local market needs and to solidify partnership.

  • Accountability for retention and servicing of existing Trust business.

  • Will ensure proper coordination of client communication with team to ensure clients view us as a top tier Wealth Management firm.

  • Understands and responds to needs and expectations of clients, establishes working relationships with internal partners; identifies opportunities for product and process improvements.

  • Ensures that team provides appropriate expert fiduciary advice and counsel to Personal Trust clients, prospective clients, to address client and beneficiary needs and requests.

  • Ensures client objectives are met and are consistent with governing instruments and fiduciary administration principles.

  • Resolves problems and issues raised by principals, beneficiaries and others, such as requests for special distributions, or planning and approving necessary expenditures for care and maintenance. Able to present alternative solutions for complex situations.

  • Identifies business risks and operational challenges and takes steps to mitigate risk and enhance operating systems and processes.

  • Actively monitors team activity to ensure compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, as well as all applicable policies and procedures, to include ensuring that all team members participate in and complete all required corporate and business line training, as well as ensuring that they actively work with clients to understand each client’s normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.
