U.S. Bank is looking for a Scrum Master to join our mPOS team, talech. You’ll be part of a close-knit team with a startup mentality. This team serves our internal clients in Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Support, Product Management and Development. We have been growing rapidly and need a Scrum Master to continue to lead multiple scrum teams in scrum best practices and principles.
We are looking for a dynamic, collaborative personality that can continue championing Scrum within our team. You are a coach, not a task master. You are passionate about leading the charge, finding opportunities for improvement and increasing the teams’ velocity. You possess strategic vision and tactical mastery and combine it with an entrepreneurial spirit to get it done. You will play a fundamental role in achieving our objectives and work closely with partners across product teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Talech is a leading tablet-based mPOS (mobile point of sale) solution provider. talech brings the power of data to small and medium-sized businesses in the form of intuitive and intelligent software. Our mPOS solution allows businesses to simplify operations, get key insights and make better decisions. talech was acquired by US Bank in September 2019.
-Coach teams and leaders in Agile principles and practices, roles and responsibilities, and frameworks
-Embrace the Agile mindset, advocate and champion agile within the team by challenging, coaching, and guiding teams using agile and lean principles
-Understand the various Agile frameworks, events and artifacts (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), their value and purpose, and how to implement/apply with new and existing teams
-Guides and facilitate scrum meetings including planning, backlog refinement, estimating and sizing efforts, release planning, sprint planning, daily scrums and retrospectives.
-Removing impediments or guiding the team by finding the right person/people to remove the impediment
-Propose and implement continuous improvement on ‘How we work’
-Building a trusting and psychological safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, or retribution
-Foster a continuous improvement environment in order to build high-performing, Agile teams
-Uses metrics to measure team progress and effectiveness including burndown charts, velocity, and other sprint and release metrics
-Guide teams in deployment management, release management, release planning
-Collaborate with Scrum Masters of other dependent development teams to ensure cohesive deployment timelines
-Ensure compliance requirements and release documentation are completed
-Engage with compliance teams to ensure risk assessments are completed and are not a distraction to the scrum teams
-Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
-At least 3 years of experience in supporting Agile teams
-At least one year of experience in a Scrum environment
-Experience as a Scrum Master managing multiple teams simultaneously
-A passion for mentoring and growing the potential of others
-Strong knowledge of Agile values, principles and practices and capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge
-Understanding of fundamentals of iterative and incremental development
-Working knowledge of the software development process – design, development, test, and deployment
-Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, conflict resolution and time management skills
-Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification a plus
-Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, and other Agile frameworks Comfort with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MURAL
-Knowledge and/or experience with Agile/Product techniques (i.e. User Stories, Personas, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Paired Programming, Automated Testing)
-Demonstrated ability to partner and communicate effectively with non-technical team members and business leaders
