Job Description
National Sales Relationship Consultants build relationships by proactively calling existing and potential customers, engaging them via multiple channels including by phone, email, chat or virtually and by phone or video appointment to provide the best possible counsel while adapting a digital first mindset.
Strong client relationships are based on trust, assessing and attending to customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information, demonstrating and educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommending solutions based on each customer’s unique goals and needs.
This position will have a specialized focus on serving the banking needs of U.S. Bank employees.
The responsibilities are as follows:
Proactive engagement.
Response to inbound calls.
Schedule appointments for U.S. Bank employees.
Virtual and in person delivery of presentations on financial education.
Additional responsibilities may also include:
Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up.
Ask questions and learn about their financial needs, and banking channel preferences.
Identify solutions for new and existing clients based on their needs by effectively engaging and communicating with clients.
Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services including digital products and services.
Support the process for customers to open new consumer accounts, completes service requests and refers clients to appropriate resources or lending partners.
Proactively educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to assist with meeting their financial needs.
Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and serve our clients with operational excellence and accuracy.
This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.
You will be subject to the required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check.
Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record, may result in a rescission of your offer or termination of employment.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Five or more years of customer service experience
Five or more years of sales experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
Advanced knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
Effective customer service and interpersonal skills
Proficient with using and demonstrating digital products and services
Experience in participating in sales campaigns and promotions
Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital first mindset
Demonstrated consistent level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer’s needs both reactively and proactively
Experience in the financial services industry preferred
Location
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $22.50 - $30.00 - $33.00
