Job Description

We're hiring National Outreach Small Business Specialists in Tempe, Arizona for levels 2, 3 and 4!

The National Outreach Team is a centralized sales team focused on engaging with customers and prospects through a proactive lens to drive growth.

This team is dedicated to deepening relationships and acquiring new relationships within the following customer segments:

  • Employees within the organization

  • Out-of-footprint

  • Specialty

  • Small Business

The responsibilities of these roles include the following:

  • Provide comprehensive financial solutions to small businesses with annual revenues between $0 and $2.5 million.

  • Actively deepen existing customer relationships through routine calling and develop new relationship opportunities through business development activities.

  • Combine digital tools with strong human connections to offer solutions to business customers.

  • Outside prospecting and sales activities to grow revenue and achieve the assigned financial targets and growth goals.

  • Open accounts, identify and open product solutions for small business customers.

  • Service and maintain accounts for customers within the segment.

  • Actively develop both internal and external relationships.

  • Collaborate with branch partners, centers of influence, clients and other business line partners.

  • Refer clients to Business Banking and/or other U.S. Bancorp areas for additional needs.

This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.

You will be subject to the required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check.

Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record, may result in a rescission of your offer or termination of employment.

Basic Qualifications:

National Outreach Small Business Specialist 2:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically, one to 3 years of customer service, consultative sales and/or prospecting experience

National Outreach Small Business Specialist 3:

- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically, three or more years of customer service, consultative sales and/or prospecting experience

National Outreach Small Business Specialist 4:

- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically, five or more years of customer service, consultative sales and/or prospecting experience

* Compensation ranges vary between levels 2 and 4 and are commensurate to skill level.

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Sales prospecting skills

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems

  • Good understanding of bank products, sales, and new business development

  • Basic knowledge of cash flow management and business credit underwriting

  • Strong customer service and community relations skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and can convey business recommendations in an effective manner

Location

This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $21.88 - $29.13 - $32.04
