U.S. Bank Software Engineer (DevOps) - Telecommute in St. Paul, Minnesota

Job DescriptionThe DevOps Team is about ensuring all the Opayo Web Applications are delivered through Development, Test and Productions environments in an automated Continuous Delivery manner. Opayo is a high transactional environment and applications are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The team ensures that the Opayo core applications are maintained, monitored and issues are responded to and resolved in line with departmental SLAs.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: Maintaining and supporting Opayo Payments Applications, using monitoring tools to detect failures and investigating/resolving issues and writing custom monitoring scripts

Working with the development teams to help design new products and architecting new solutions

Monitor Live environment to detect failures and investigate/resolve issues

Work closely with the Development & Test Teams to deploy software releases

Support production systems as required inside and outside of standard working hours.

Reducing the overhead of BAU and manual tasks and replacing them with automated solutions

Actively contributing to the process of continual improvement, with regard to self, team and the systems you support

Actively participating in departmental projects as per the technology roadmap

Working with 3rd parties and partners to ensure product compliance and stability

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

3-5 plus years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience of cloud providers, AWS required, GCP is a plus

Extensive experience of scripting languages (python, bash, powershell would be a plus)

Extensive linux experience required, Windows experience is a plus

Extensive experience of monitoring tools such as log aggregators and visualizers ( kibana, sumologic, splunk ) and alerting mechanisms ( cloudwatch, Prometheus, Grafana )

Extensive experience of automation tools (Jenkins, Rundeck, Terraform, Ansible, Chef )

Other devops and modernization tooling that would be an added benefit would include gitlab, jira, kafka, elasticsearch, Jfrog Artifactory, Vault, and Packer

Security tooling preferred but not required experience in Tenable, fortify, twistlock, sonarqube, blackduck, Tanium.

Extensive experience of working in a DevOps support model and Infrastructure as code

Experience working in a highly available, high transaction, production environment

Experience working in global PCI environments
