Job DescriptionGENERAL SUMMARY: The Senior Compensation Manager is responsible for providing strategic compensation consulting services to defined internal clients. The position will collaborate with the Technology and Operations Services line of business (LOB) and HR leaders to design, develop and implement effective and competitive compensation strategies, plans and programs that support business line objectives. The Senior Manager, Compensation is expected to gain a deep understanding of the business for the LOBs they support, work with the HR LOB Talent Consultants and their staff to identify goals/projects for the year/quarter, and lead projects/teams with Compensation Analysts and Talent Consultants.
Provide strategic compensation consulting services to internal clients (e.g., business line managers, human resources talent consultants) and develop presentations using data to effectively inform/persuade senior level decision makers.
Proactively identify and interpret compensation trends, understand the businesses you support and offer guidance and advice that produces actionable insights.
Perform deep analysis on effectiveness of existing compensation programs and recommend innovative compensation alternatives to internal clients, ensuring the solutions address business objectives, market pressures and employee needs.
Design rewards programs – including annual or sales incentive plans – that are consistent with our pay for performance philosophy.
Advise on and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements that are compensation related.
Collaborate and build relationships with industry experts and consultants to advance our understanding of current industry trends and demand.
Lead year end activities within the compensation team as well as support clients through the process.
Conduct job evaluations using market data and internal evaluation - regularly analyze market position of jobs.
Integrate compensation programs of acquired companies into those of the organization for assigned business line.
Demonstrate the ability to lead, mentor, and directly/indirectly manage talented professionals.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience. Master's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Eight or more years of related compensation program or relevant experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience Relevant large organization experience of at least 5 years.
Experience in a large Financial Services organization preferred

Experience in designing compensation programs that attract and retain employees and drive performance.
Strong process facilitation and problem solving skills.

Strong written/verbal communication skills and ability to work closely with high level management.
Awareness of external market trends and internal equity, and good judgment to apply reasonableness to advice given.
Ability to manage multiple projects, successfully partnering with business line and HR leaders and with subject matter experts and outside consultants.

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $117,385.00 - $138,100.00 - $151,910.00
