Job DescriptionJob Description Do you have a passion for the convergence of technology and business? Have you worked with APIs? We at U.S. Bank are seeking API Product Managers to help us build the bridge between the business and technology teams for API development projects.
You will be responsible for creating API products for U.S. Bank Credit card system. You must ensure API products are designed and built to high standards, are easy for developers to implement, and can support the widest possible number of use-cases. The API Product Manager must possess a combination of technical and product knowledge to cater to their users.
About the Team U.S. Bank is seeking an API Product Manager to join the ICS API Journey. We build reusable, loosely coupled, scalable, variable driven secure APIs and utilities for our internal and external business partners and applications. Our APIs are delivered and supported with consistently high reliability following industry best practices and Enterprise standards. Our technology roadmap leads us to build RESTful, cloud-based APIs and microservices to live and function in both our on-premise and off-premise cloud infrastructures supporting our Credit Card product portfolio.
Responsibilities: Provides Product and Problem Definition Creates and communicates Product Vision, Roadmap and OKRs Work with Product team to translate business and functional requirements into API User Stories and writing Acceptance criteria. Build API backlog prioritize work and make strategic decisions on cutting or adding features during the quarterly sprint schedule. Work with technical API analyst who translates the user stories into an API specification using Swagger. Partners with Scrum Master to manage product dependencies & cross-team planning. Leads Product Demos (Sprint Reviews) and invites stakeholders and customers Apply product management, industry, and market expertise to brainstorm and create additional use-cases for the API. Make product roadmap decisions and have overall ownership of the API as a product. Contribute to API testing phases.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Six or more years of experience in Information Technology environment
Preferred Skills/Experience - Experience working with APIs - 4+ years of experiencing managing IT Products - Strong verbal and written communication skills - High attention to detail and visual presentation - 2+ years of Agile experience - 2+ years of technical writing experience - Excellent presentation skills and comfort presenting complex information to senior leadership - Experience working with Jira Align, confluence and Version One - Credit Card API experience is a plus
