Job DescriptionReporting to the Head of Digital Marketing & Technology, the Head of Media & Performance Management will be responsible for the overall media strategy for U.S. Bank and for optimizing performance on Corporate Marketing goals. The role will be responsible to support marketing for both B2C and B2B financial products. This role will require an individual with a strategic mindset and deep business knowledge coupled with strong experience in managing digital media campaigns and in optimizing marketing performance. This role will manage a team of media planners, analysts and media strategists while partnering closely with our media agency to drive brand and new to bank acquisition initiatives. The leader will partner closely with Marketing leaders at U.S. Bank to drive key strategic marketing initiatives across Consumer, Wealth Management, Small Business and Corporate segments.

Responsibilities: Responsible for building, tracking, and managing performance on Corporate Marketing goals

Partner with Strategy and Enterprise Analytics organization to deliver on key insights that help validate and/or pivot marketing strategies

Drive U.S. Bank’s media strategy and partner with internal and external teams to ensure consistent implementation of best practices across campaigns.

Develop paid media plans and initiatives to ensure ongoing growth and to meet annual marketing targets

Leverage multiple measurement tools to help validate or pivot digital media strategy to deliver marketing effectiveness

Manage the relationship with media agencies

Set and manage quarterly and annual marketing goals for Paid Media efforts

Provide thought leadership and guidance to help navigate complex market conditions to develop alternate identity management solutions and targeting strategies

Participate and influence Annual Marketing planning and budgeting process

Present and communicate paid media strategies to executives and senior stakeholder

Develop presentations and materials for senior executives by leveraging data to derive actionable insights and recommendations

Ensure the right level of tracking, reporting, insights, oversight and performance management is in place for key Corporate Marketing goals/KPIs

Partner with Strategy and Enterprise Analytics organization to deliver on key insights that help validate and/or pivot marketing strategies

Partner with Finance, HR, Risk and Strategy leads to ensure alignment on key processes, policies, and planning as it relates to Marketing goals/KPI’s and reporting

Build strong relationship within marketing and across partner organizations to coordinate internal discussions and communications that drive key strategic initiatives

Qualifications: 15+ years of overall experience

7+ years of experience from either in a leading agency supporting banking clients, or in financial services firm driving growth marketing and media efforts

Experience with Banking clients or Financial Services experience

Demonstrate fluency in data and analytics to work effectively with data science teams

Strong ability to analyze problems, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), work well in cross-functional teams

Significant experience in partnering with major media partners across digital and offline channels

Significant experience managing agency relationship and media budget

Strong knowledge of Ad tech landscape

Experience with leading digital campaigns, including paid media channels (PPC, Display, Affiliates and Social)

Excellent leadership and people skills

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities, skillsets, strengths and weaknesses among the team

Experience working in an agile environment and a willingness to embrace change

Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools

Bachelor’s degree required; advance degree preferred
