The Position

The Global Airlines Leader for Elavon will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for creating a strategic vision and roadmap for the airline vertical while ensuring alignment with overall business unit strategy. The Airline vertical has recently undergone a major strategic review. Elavon sees significant growth potential in this vertical and we are now elevating its prominence within our global organization. The successful candidate will draw on a deep understanding of the global airlines market from the perspective of its payments needs and payments ecosystem including acquiring, gateway and other downstream integrated payments partners. They will continue to build and lead a highly capable team to achieve this strategic vision.

The successful candidate will understand the dynamics of the payments market, develop Sales and Product strategies to grow the business, while focusing their efforts on leading Sales and Product to drive global revenue growth throughout the vertical. This position will be key in understanding and anticipating trends in the industry, opportunities for growth, and will leverage sales leadership expertise to drive improvements in the performance of the organization.

He/she is directly responsible for driving the vision and implementation of the Airlines revenue and product strategy for the global team. As a change agent, the successful candidate will bring a fresh perspective and will accelerate business growth.

The successful candidate will Drive increased profitability and growth for the airlines business unit Provide strategic direction and leadership to pursue business revenue and product objectives Develop distribution and solution strategies that drive growth for existing markets and identify new markets for expansion. APAC will be an important focus for the role holder as we continue to support and grow in this geography Lead efforts to improve sales force execution and drive organic sales and revenue growth Collaborate effectively with Elavon and US Bank business leaders to grow the business and drive change throughout the organization Demonstrate political savvy and ability to influence thoughtfully amongst all levels of management at the Company and with our largest global customers Develop a motivated and top performing revenue management team and workforce aligned with the goals of the organization Mentor and develop key business unit leaders Applies sound judgement to business issues and has ability to quickly integrate complex information and different points of view in problem solving exercises Possess a proven track record to drive strategies across the enterprise into actionable plans and results Ensure that there is a strategic approach to managing talent, succession planning, career development and assessment of Revenue team’s organizational health


The successful candidate should be a strategic business leader with exceptional commercial skills, critical thinking skills, business acumen, and P&L management experience. Additional qualifications include:

15+ years of relevant banking/financial services/transportation payments experience 8+ years of management experience BA in Business, Finance, Operations or related MBA/Masters preferred in Business, Finance, Operations or related Language capabilities for operating across APAC preferred A background in Business Development or Commercial leadership and demonstrated success delivering results, measuring performance, and ensuring accountability Proven track record of success in building and sustaining a profitable business and growing market share Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities, develop a go-to-market strategy, marshal resources, and drive to execution Exceptional leadership skills, including the ability to identify top talent, lead and motivate dispersed teams and demonstrate leadership and collaboration among peers. Prior experience managing through significant change and challenge is preferred International experience and a global mindset, with an ability to lead and make decisions in high-growth markets outside of North America. Direct experience of successfully operating and leading teams across APAC, is particularly advantageous A team player with strong partnership and collaborative style, with outstanding communication skills; written, verbal and presentation Able to lead, influence and partner within a matrixed environment. Prior experience working in and thriving in a shared services environment is required Prior experience managing through significant change and challenge is preferred A leader possessing the highest levels of ethics, values and integrity; they should be highly respected within current / previous organizations and within the industry as a trusted professional
