Job Description

The SAS Fraud Model and Tool Owner is responsible for maintaining and filling out documentation related to models and tracking model performance on a set schedule, by creating, modifying, and running SAS code.
This role will not involve the actual building of models as the focus is specific to fulfilling compliance requirements for oversight of key fraud mitigation solutions on credit, debit, and commercial cards.
The candidate will be responsible for learning the model’s characteristics and working with the individual vendors of each model.
SAS programming experience is required for this role.
Assists in maintaining model inventory.
Supports gathering of model development and implementation documents for new models.
Develops and maintains SAS programs and associated workflows to support reporting and analytical requirements.
These monitoring reports are created by utilizing Python, Excel, VBA, and Word.
Participates in completing all model performance reviews and gap assessments, remediating gaps and recommending model usage adjustments.
Works with vendors and end users to maintain current documentation requirements, including compliance reviews to ensure models meet fair lending criteria.
Stays current with model oversight procedures to ensure compliance.
Remediates issues (CITs) associated with models and tools.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or master’s degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically, more than six years of experience in fraud risk management activities
Preferred Skills/Experience
Thorough understanding of statistical modeling techniques and their applications to fraud mitigation.
Comprehensive to expert level of knowledge of all departmental data sources, and of fraud risk and operations management associated with the product lines to design effective SAS monitoring programs.
Masters’ or Bachelors in Statistics and/or Data Mining preferred
Strong analytical skills relative to evaluating fraud prevention
Effective verbal and written communications skills
SAS, SQL, Python, Excel Macros, programming experience

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $99,365.00 - $116,900.00 - $128,590.00
