We have multiple opportunities open at various levels based on experience as a Software Engineer 2 - React Developer or a Senior Software Engineer - Senior React Developer. The React Developer/Sr. React Developer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.

These positions will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Essential Responsibilities: • Developing new user-facing features using React.js • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use • Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of mobile devices and browsers • Guide the technical design and development of highly complex, cross-functional, multi-platform, application systems • Define and document the designs for applications and enhancements • Oversee the design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solution • Develop high level program specifications • Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved

Examples of Projects include: MCD, Zelle and Transfers team: In this role, the successful candidate will be part of the team which is responsible for one of the most used functionalities in the mobile app - MCD, Zelle and Transfers. You will be part of the most recognized and visible team in the bank. Your role will be intimately involved in creating, shaping and improving the user experience of the mobile app, OLB and other relevant form factors. You will combine a thorough knowledge of current design trends with a deep working knowledge of mobile and web interface development standards and native system patterns across a variety of digital products using your knowledge on React and Responsive design. This individual will work collaboratively with UX Design professionals, researches, engineering teams and key stakeholder across the organization to drive the design efforts forward. Ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of prototyping, accessibility and minimal click user design.

RPS (Retail Payment System) team: In this role, the successful candidate will be part of a new team that is being built to help drive the digital transformation at U.S. Bank forward. This role will assist and develop reusable components for responsive web that will be used across the digital team. This individual will work collaboratively with UX Designers, Product Managers and other key stakeholder across the organization to drive the web development efforts forward. An ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in web development using React, Angular, Typescript, Javascript and other relevant frameworks, language for Responsive Web/Online platform, as well as, unit test automation for responsive web components. Ideal candidate will have good understanding of prototyping and also have a fair understanding of frontend design patterns, styling components, and also have working experience for micro front end development.

Responsive Platform team: US Bank is in the process of revamping our browser platform to modernize it, leveraging new front-end frameworks like React that are powered by cloud enabled APIs. This program will bring our currently three separate browser solutions that target desktop, mobile and accessibility site into one consistent reimagined experience and introduce powerful new customer financial wellness focused features like budgeting, goals and more. Will define and develop approaches that teams will follow to implement cross browser, touch enable and accessible solutions. Will implement revenue driving features across the entire browser platforms by promoting personalized financial solutions to the customers. Will be responsible for developing core components, accelerators and enablers that will be used by other teams to build consistent browser solutions

This experience will be used by more than 5 million of our customers and bankers. It defines our brand in the marketplace. This individual will work in close collaboration with our design partners, our product partners and our accessibility partners. The successful candidate will be a hands-on and forward thinking technology leader focused on responsive web (React) technologies with excellent communication skills.

Leveling of position will depend on qualifications. Please read below for Basic and Preferred Qualifications of each level.

Software Engineer 2 - React Developer Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent work experience. • 3+ years of work experience in Application Development/IT Systems Testing, and team leadership.

Preferred Qualifications - Highly proficient in front end engineering concepts. - Highly proficient in React, Next and JavaScript programming languages - Familiar with progressive automation and BDD testing strategies. Familiar with tools like Cucumber and Gherkin. - Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or Content Management System (CMS) experience is a plus - Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript - Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js) - Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus - Familiarity with RESTful APIs - Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token - Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools - Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc. - Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements - A knack for benchmarking and optimization - Familiarity with code versioning tools (GIT,TFS)

Senior Software Engineer - Senior React Developer Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent work experience - At least 5 years of work experience in Application Development/IT Systems Testing, and team leadership

Preferred Qualifications - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model - Thorough understanding of React.js, Angular and its core principles - 7+ years of experience with popular React.js/ Angular workflows (such as Flux or Redux) - Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript - Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js) - Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus - Familiarity with RESTful APIs - Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token - Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools - Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, Yarnetc. - Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements - A knack for benchmarking and optimization - Familiarity with code versioning tools (GIT,TFS) - Thorough understanding of a feature, the users impacted, the flows impacted and feature's purpose. - Technical designs are clear, well thought out, and considers dependencies, failure states, maintainability, testability and ease of support. - Considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs. - Understands the team's domain, how work in this domain relates to the team's objectives and deliverables and how it contributes to overall business strategy and how technical strategy maps to this. - Thoroughly understands the business model in relation to their current product focus area. - Ability to analyze the bigger picture, identifying and prioritizing with the aim to consider more than one domain within an analysis. - Looks for opportunities to simplify product & technical design. - Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles. - Able to communicate processes and results with all parties involved in the product team, including engineers, product owner, scrum master, third party vendors and customers. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
