U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management (PWM) helps clients identify and achieve their financial objectives. Our teams advise clients holistically on wealth and estate planning, investments, banking, credit, insurance, charitable giving, and fiduciary administration. In addition, PWM has specialized capabilities in business-sale advisory and pre-transaction planning.

The Portfolio Manager (PM) is responsible for managing and growing assets under management for Northern California. The PM is the capital markets specialist on the integrated team and uses familiarity with client circumstances alongside a broad knowledge of investments and U.S. Bank capabilities to frame, acquire, and retain investment assets. The PM also partners with estate and financial planning specialists to contextualize investment alternatives in the conversation about the broader balance sheet. As a U.S. Bank representative in the community the PM also acts as a conduit for Private Wealth Management’s strategic partners in the region.

Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of investment accounts for high- and ultra-high net worth individuals, trusts, endowments, and foundations Assist in the development and implementation of short and/or long-term investment policies and strategies based on management investment philosophy and customer investment objectives Partner with estate and financial planning professionals to contextualize portfolio decisions Keep informed of developments in capital markets and provide sound and timely investment decisions Work with local and regional leadership to establish best-practices for the investment management business Support new business development, relationship management, and marketing as part of the integrated team

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Ten or more years of investment management experience

Preferred Skills/Experience: MBA degree CFA or equivalent designations, or progress toward Experience interacting with ultra-high and high net worth clients Experience profiling clients and formulating customized strategies to address their needs Outstanding communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to simplify complex concepts for audiences with different levels of sophistication A passion for problem-solving and acting as a strategic advisor Ability to make critical decisions independently and act as a business owner
