U.S. Bank is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.
This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development, and maintenance of best-in-class experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the Agile IaC development lifecycle and DevOps principles .
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
5+ years’ cloud expertise, including hands-on experience with the full range of cloud services from one or more public cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
3+ years of experience with building AWS infrastructure and migrating private on-premises solutions to cloud hosting environments
Drive the design, development, and evolution of cloud infrastructure to support the ongoing technology transformation of U.S. Bank
Build cloud security and compliance requirements into the cloud architecture framework
Present technical concepts and specific solutions to internal and external audiences of varying technical capabilities in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner.
Evaluate new technologies, patterns, concepts, and provide recommendations on adoption, design, and implementation
Operate in a DevOps culture and team, responsible for architecture, design, development, implementation, and ongoing operations of new and emerging technology platforms
Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and implementation - build automation, build pipelines, deployment automation, best practices
Working knowledge of DNS, load balancers, routing, firewalls, and monitoring tools within cloud and hybrid environments
Experience with Terraform, and/or BOTO3, AWS CLI
Hands-on, in-depth experience deploying and supporting AWS network services, such as VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, NACLs, Security Groups, TGW, GWLB, VPC Endpoints, Route53, Flow Logs, Traffic Mirroring, DirectConnect, PrivateLink
Knowledge of AWS compute, data sources, security technologies, services including EC2, S3, IAM, EKS, Load Balancers, SCP, RAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, WAF
Scripting skills in Python and/or Bash, or PowerShell
Experience with architecting and securing regulated enterprise class cloud services with compliance frameworks such as PCI, HIPAA, FedRAMP, SOC2, NIST, ISO
Experience building and maintaining automation pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, or others
Working knowledge of modern development and delivery methodologies such as Agile and CI/CD and ability to apply these processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure) Associate, Professional or equivalent a plus

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $105,230.00 - $123,800.00 - $136,180.00
