Job Description

Responsibilities:

U.S. Bank is seeking an accomplished Senior Technical Portfolio Manager with strong strategic and enterprise portfolio management experience to contribute toward the success of our Money Movement platform. Understands key business objectives and strategy of the product, and supports other Portfolio Managers in meeting business objectives, OKRs (objectives and key results), customer needs, KPIs (key performance indicators), and financial targets. Provides oversight to meet established function, quality, cost, and schedule goals and objectives for large sized programs/projects with extensive complexity for multi-year initiatives. Manages programs/projects from initial concept through post implementation, including multiple implementation cycles. Plans and controls multiple related projects with complex dependencies and shared resources and trains others in the use of planning tools. Builds relationships with sponsoring executives and among different groups within and outside the department while serving as a liaison. Clarifies boundaries of acceptable risk and removes obstacles. Authors program management artifacts and develops and maintains project plans and financials. Works with resource managers and vendor partners to obtain resources. Ensures project governance is established and observed. Recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes project plan activities. Authors effective, clear, concise, and relevant communication for program stakeholders. Communicates difficult and/or complex ideas and presents the appropriate message. Promotes collaborative relationships across program team members. Inspires commitment, high energy, and positive attitudes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Financial management for the portfolio, programs, annual budget, and contracts

  • Previous Financial Institution experience in the money movement / payments space

  • Strong leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure product goals and outcomes are met

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • In-depth expertise in product discipline including agile, product management and DevOps practices and values

  • Ability to work effectively with all individuals and groups involved in the portfolio of products (engineers, third party vendors, business partners, etc.)

  • Proven customer service/relations skills, including situational leadership and dispute/conflict resolution

  • Skilled in group and individual dynamics to effectively facilitate and independently interface with all levels of personnel, including senior stakeholders, business line leaders, and technical subject-matter experts

  • Ability to mentor and coach less experienced staff, instructing and occasionally directing the work of others

  • Demonstrated advanced skills in utilizing Microsoft Office products (including MS Teams) and a solid working-knowledge of SharePoint , Confluence, Jira, Clarity, and Workday.

*The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.**

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00
