Job DescriptionAn Investment Ops Technician is being sought for U.S. Bancorp Investment, Inc.’s Security Master & Pricing Department to support the setup and pricing of securities on USBI’s system of record. This position requires a baseline understanding of the securities markets and the types of securities transacted by a FINRA regulated Broker-Dealer.
USBI’s Security Master & Pricing Department supports both a Wealth Management and Capital Markets business, and sets-up/maintains various types of securities on the firm’s back-office processing system, including domestic and foreign equities, corporate bonds, municipal securities, mutual funds, options, commercial paper, treasuries, and government agencies.
This position reports directly to the Security Master & Pricing Department Manager. Responsibilities include:
Setting-up securities on USBI’s system of record, including but not limited to, corporate equities, new issue corporate and municipal bonds and mutual funds The pricing of securities and the processes that monitor stale pricing and day-over-day price movements Ensuring the accuracy of both security reference data and security pricing data Maintaining data tables linked to the firm’s Security Master Ensuring the accuracy of the coding required for confirm and statement disclosures Researching issues related to security reference/pricing data Interaction with other departments within Brokerage Operations Participation in Operations projects requiring representation by Security Master
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Three to five years of experience in operations and processing activities
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Good data and analytical skills - Ability to manage spreadsheets and work effectively with the Data/Systems Analysts who also support this department - Experience with the following systems: Phase3 (FIS), Bloomberg, ICE (Intercontinental Exchange), and NetXPro (Pershing) - Prefer one to three years of experience in Financial Services or Brokerage Operations
