Job DescriptionU.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust is a leading provider of corporate trust services in the United States and Europe, serving private and public companies, government and tax-exempt entities, and financial services companies. We operate a network of more than 50 domestic offices and two international locations in London and Dublin.
Our Shared Services team within Global Corporate Trust is comprised of five Production and Support Teams. On the Learning & Development (L&D) team we are looking to fill an open Instructional Designer role that will support and encourage our employees to continually grow and develop.
General Summary: Instructional Designers develop training curricula, materials, and programs (including classroom training, online training, and other technologies) to meet specific training/learning solutions needs at U.S. Bank. Plans and manages the design, development, deployment, and evaluation of training/learning solutions for assigned clients. Identifies and assesses training/learning solutions needs of assigned clients and designs skills training and other business line and/or corporate wide training/learning solutions programs/initiatives. Evaluates the effectiveness of existing training programs/learning solutions and makes improvements or designs replacements. Consults with assigned clients, learning partners, and talent consultants to formulate training/learning solutions project objectives, scope, schedule, budget and resources for producing the project deliverables. Designs performance-based and knowledge-based tests to measure participant understanding of program content. Develops training material and content and organizes into meaningful learning modules, which are then deployed in various training tools such as facilitator guides, learning guides, tests, job aids, or other relevant learning resources. Contributes to formalizing best practices for designing, developing, and evaluating curricula materials by leading standards discussions and documenting them. Ensures training materials are in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
Responsibilities: · Apply proven instructional design theories, practice and methods · Leverage adult learning principles to design and build engaging talent development solutions including live training programs, public presentations, and online courses · Ability to effectively present and facilitate including the use of audio visuals, online, and other technologies · Proficient in deploying and facilitating training curricula, materials, and programs the incumbent has designed/developed · Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of training curricula, materials, and programs in light of business objectives · Strong verbal and written communications skills · Proficient in Captivate and/or Camtasia · Complete all other tasks as assigned · Participate in various business line meetings to partner, create collaboration, transparency and to identify training needs · Partner with leadership and adjust or flexible in priorities, responsibilities and focus based on learning and development projects and support
Basic Qualifications · Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience · One to two years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience · Basic understanding of adult learning principles, practices, and learning sciences particularly in the areas of eLearning, curriculum development, multi-media development, and learning technology · Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of training curricula, materials, and programs in light of business objectives · Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills This position is currently remote and will be hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days remote per week) upon eventual return to the office.
