Job Description

Part Time (20hrs) 1st shift: Mon-Fri 6:30AM-10:30AM

U.S. Bank offers full-time benefit eligibility for regular part-time employees

You will be joining the ARP/RDC department processes transactions, reconciles and maintains various accounts and ledgers. Transactions processed and maintained may include; accounts payable, journal vouchers, vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, ledgers, statements, billings, and/or other accounting documents. Ensures accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of transactions processed. Conducts research on discrepancies and makes appropriate corrections or adjustments. Responds to and resolves inquiries. Posts data and/or checks and verifies data. Runs and prepares routine financial reports and analyses.

Job Highlights:

  • Majority of the day will be scrubbing – which is reviewing checks and matching up to what is on file via SinglePoint.

  • Review the check and make serial # corrections, amount corrections, remove items from reporting due to a duplicate ( 2 items that are the same item posted twice), piggy back items ( 1 item on top of another), items posted to the wrong account, payee review ( comparing the payee to what is on file)

  • Running adjustments

  • Breaking down journals / Statements

  • Mailing journals

  • Depending on time daily reports

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Three to five years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 10-key data entry and check processing/image knowledge

  • Must be a quick learner and strong attention to detail

  • Knowledge of SinglePoint, SMS and Hogan applications is a plus but not required

  • Thorough knowledge of banking, bookkeeping practices and principles

  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
