Job DescriptionU.S. Bank is seeking an effective Senior Program/Project Manager with demonstrated project management, process engineering, and leadership experience to contribute toward the success of our Treasury Management initiatives.
The person who fills this role will Lead and direct larger, more complex programs in support of organizational strategy Oversee assigned projects from initial concept through final implementation utilizing appropriate project methodology/tools and within enterprise standards and guidelines Establish governance and drive all aspects to ensure that assigned programs are implemented, accepted, and operating effectively Translate corporate objectives into program objectives and practices Serve as a liaison and builds bridges and relationships with sponsoring executives and organizational partners within and outside of Treasury Management Where appropriate, consolidate projects under program-level umbrella to provide focal point for communications Manage communications regarding project and program management practices that create clear understanding of status, progress toward objectives, and achievement of value delivery Organize and manage high-quality, cross-functional program teams by providing work direction and coaching/mentoring to assigned project members Construct a program reporting and tracking framework and benchmarks Escalate issues and risks to appropriate level Plan, develop, and control moderate to large project/product budgets Perform internal consultative services leveraging Continuous Improvement disciplines including:
Advocacy of systems thinking and leadership perspectives Leadership and mentorship of cross functional process owner team Completion of process discovery and capability analysis Oversight of the monitoring of process performance using statistical process control statistical methodologies Identification of common versus special causes of variation including troubleshooting of special cause driven results Collection and analysis of voice of the customer research Exploration, discovery, and/or creation of improvement strategies, methods, and actions
May manage a staff of employees including recommendations for hires, transfers, terminations, salary adjustments, performance standards, and reviews.
Basic Qualifications Master’s degree or equivalent work experience 10 or more years of experience in project management activities
Preferred Skills and Experience Advanced knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (especially within the Continuous Improvement disciplines) Comprehensive knowledge of assigned business line or functional area (Financial Services, Treasury Management) Demonstrated organizational leadership skills Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data Excellent verbal and written communication skills 5 or more years of team management experience
