U.S. Bank Product Owner - Alternatives and Derivatives Processing - Remote in Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Description

Partners closely with both internal and external customers to drive the evolution of Derivatives, Alternatives, and Common Trust Fund processes associated with the U.S. Bank strategic migration to a new custody and accounting platform. Facilitates and leads discussions with internal development teams, vendor development, and operations teams to understand and define the future state operating model. Maintains and refines the product gap list and develops business requirements for newly identified gaps. The candidate will form strategic partnerships across the firm to translate the product requirements into an executable roadmap.

Products in scope include:

  • Derivatives (Options, Futures, Swaps, and Forwards)

  • Alternatives (Private Equity and Hedge Funds both from an issuer and third party offering perspective)

  • Common Trust Funds

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Three to five years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Well-developed ability to collaboratively develop and evolve a product backlog

  • Well-developed ability to develop and articulate a product vision that supports outcomes, value and prioritization of work

  • Thorough understanding of the Lean/Agile mindset

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate with and empower teams

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of the operational processing associated with the products above

  • Ability to lead strategic conversations

  • Strong analytic, problem solving, and decision-making skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Must be execution and results oriented

  • Deep Industry knowledge in one or more of following products:

  • Derivatives (Options, Futures, Swaps, and Forwards)

  • Alternatives (Private Equity and Hedge Funds both from an issuer and third party offering perspective)

  • Common Trust Funds

  • Understanding of the client, industry, operational and system ramifications of the above products

  • Experience leading the transition of operating models

  • Proficiency in defining and writing business requirements for systems that need to support one or more of the products named above

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $92,480.00 - $108,800.00 - $119,680.00
