Job DescriptionSUMMARY US Bank is seeking a highly effective and dynamic individual to lead our Global Documentary Services Letter of Credit Operations. This role will lead a team of professionals to drive transformation, will partner with the business line to grow the trade business, and will ensure a superior client experience. Success will be measured through profitable growth of the product portfolio, effective and proactive risk mitigation efforts, strong partnered approach to drive client satisfaction and effective team leadership to drive employee performance and engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES Manages and coordinates the operational activities for assigned functional areas/regions. Ensures quality service and effective operations support for all of the assigned internal and external customers. Accomplishes results through the effective management of staff that may range from lower level non-exempt through exempt level professionals. Administers corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Participates in the review and recommendation of operational systems and procedures affecting assigned units, coordinating system conversions from an operations perspective.

REQUIRED - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Eight to ten years of operations-related experience

PREFERRED - Knowledge of International Trade Finance such as Commercial and Standby Letters of Credits, Documentary Collections and the associated rules and regulations that apply to each - Considerable knowledge of operation functions, systems, policies and procedures for the assigned area, or the ability to quickly learn new systems and procedures. - In-depth understanding and practical application of applicable laws and regulations - Excellent organizational, managerial and project management skills - Well-developed customer relations skills - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously - Thorough knowledge of banking operations and human resources -Ability to think strategically and execute swiftly -Results driven -Heavy focus on employee development -Success leading in a transformational environment
