Job Description

Processes payments using OPEX High Speed (Eagle) and Low Speed (Falcon) equipment to open, sort, and scan items. Reviews checks/invoices for special instructions given by customers and determines the appropriate item handling. Sorts mail, processes accounts, and prepares deposit tickets to meet daily and hourly deadlines. Prepares information for input into the information reporting system. Prepares incoming mail and items for mailout. Authorizes credit card payments via external applications. Researches rejected items and items without valid information for processing. Other duties as assigned.

Regular schedule is Friday - Tuesday 3:30pm - 12:00am but must be flexible with schedules which could include holidays and overtime.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • One to two years of experience in item processing activities

  • 10-key by touch

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per day)

  • Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds

  • Basic knowledge of operations, item processing, proof and transit

  • Demonstrated clerical, reading, writing, and mathematical skills

  • Ability to collect and organize information

  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
