Job Description

Impact Finance NMH Director of Project Management

The Director of Project Management (DPM) is responsible for leading and effectively communicating and implementing business priorities and policies for the NMTC/HTC Project management group.

Key areas of responsibility include managing the underwriting and approval processes, ensuring adherence to policy and procedures, working regularly with Credit Risk Management around pipeline and credit risk issues, and managing closing and funding pipelines. The DPM will also drive end-to-end process improvement and documentation efforts to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and deliver an industry leading customer experience. The team structures complicated transactions that rely on leadership’s knowledge of tax law, accounting practices, financing tools and underlying real estate and/or operating business. Additionally, this leader will promote an engaging team environment that demonstrates teamwork and builds a culture of safety and trust; personal development and motivation; fostering innovation and creative thinking.

The DPM reports to the Managing Director of Community Finance Solutions and will act as a primary liaison with the NMTC/HTC Director of Business Development, Asset Management and other functional departments across Impact Finance. Overall success is measured by leading the group to contribute to the group’s production goals, as well as development and implementation of successful strategies for underwriting, approval, and closing new types of investments that balances risks and returns while maintaining high standards of client advocacy.

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically 10 or more years of related experience

  • Typically three or more years of management experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Thorough understanding of tax credit investment management

  • Strong knowledge of construction finance, real estate property management, and accounting, with experience interpreting legal documentation and requirements

  • General real estate development background preferred

  • Knowledge of LIHTC, RTC, HTC and/or NMTC preferred

  • Strong relationship management abilities

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Considerable tact and people skills

  • Master's degree and/or CPA preferred

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $154,955.00 - $182,300.00 - $200,530.00
