Job DescriptionThe Head of USBCDC Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access to Capital provides executive level leadership, accountability, and guidance to advance USBCDC’s significant commitments to centering DEI in our workplace and equitable access to capital in our investment strategies. This position reports directly to USBCDC’s Executive Vice President, Chairman & CEO, leads a diverse and dynamic team, and serves as a key member of the USBCDC senior leadership team (SLT). The ideal candidate is passionate about racial equity, is well-versed in the current and historic barriers to progress within the landscape of our industry, and has experience creating the conditions where employees, customers and communities can thrive.

Key responsibilities:

With significant experience in community development finance or related industries, this USBCDC executive will drive progress on our “inside and out” strategic commitment to DEI. This includes progress on our equitable access to capital strategy and KPIs, partnering with USBCDC and U.S. Bank business lines to integrate racial-equity focused investment/lending strategies, products, partnerships and signature initiatives into business plans and their execution.

This leader will also drive continued progress on our internal DEI strategy and KPIs, further integrating DEI into the USBCDC employee experience and cultivating authentic leadership on racial equity within our organization. This includes partnership with our HR talent consultants and our DEI Council.

Additionally, this leader will work closely with USBCDC’s chief strategy officer to align existing and future plans with U.S. Bank’s ESG strategy, to ensure strategic alignment and to maximize business and social impacts across the bank’s platforms.

Basic Qualifications -10+ years in community development finance, banking, DEI or related field -7+ years of people leadership experience, ideally at a senior or executive level

Preferred Skills -Well developed strategic leadership and management skills -Demonstrated ability to move complex or multi-stakeholder ideas to action and results -Knowledge of the community development finance landscape and industry -Working product knowledge in one or more USBCDC business areas -Expertise in issues of diversity, equity and inclusion -Awareness of key drivers of employee engagement -Ability to build and leverage relationships across difference and at all levels of the organization -Self-starter and effective problem solver who can set and manage priorities judiciously -Strong self-awareness and growth mindset -Executive level presentation skills

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $126,650.00 - $149,000.00 - $163,900.00
