Job DescriptionU.S. Bank is currently seeking a Finance Manager, who will assist with the presentation of financial analysis and interpretations to executive-level audiences. Additional responsibilities include: • Develops and updates reports, analysis, and presentations for LOB financial reviews; • Supports reporting needs for annual and long-range planning; • Leads the development of scenario analysis across Payments, working closely with business lines and makes recommendations to leadership; • Maintains understanding CCAR baseline assumptions and macro drivers; • Evaluates consistency when relevant across business lines and the connection to annual and long-range plan(s); • Assists in the development of scenario analysis; • Ensures data integrity and generates/analyzes long-range forecasts and trends, in addition to other ad hoc analysis; • Maintains understanding of the financial reporting calendar and ensures documents are prepared and reviewed in a timely manner with a focus on data integrity between Essbase and other reporting (month-end close, forecast, LOB etc); • Researches and evaluates financial alternatives, possible investments, or acquisition considerations and makes recommendations to top management; • Assists in CapEx planning and analysis; • Prepares ad hoc reports and leads cross-functional special projects as required; • Provides CapEx support for Operations, Fraud, and Credit Risk and Collections; and • Partners with business line and shared services finance leads on developing business cases and financial models for various projects and initiatives.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Six or more years of related experience
Preferred Skills and Experience Eight-plus years of experience in financial analysis activities
Strong knowledge of financial concepts, practices, and procedures.
Strong forecasting and planning experience
Advanced MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Essbase skills
Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with senior leaders, preparing executive level presentations and insights, leading meetings and communicating initiatives, with the ability to convey messages in a clear and concise manner
Result-orientated, with the ability to recognize needs, solve problems, anticipate issues, and develop solutions using strong analytical, business, and financial acumen
Self-motivated, with the ability to set priorities effectively, multi-task, pivot easily as priorities change and follow through to meet the demands of multiple constituencies
