Job DescriptionThe Syndication Fund Manager will be responsible for managing tax credit funds consisting of investments in Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Renewable Energy Tax Credits, New Markets Tax Credits and Historic Tax Credits. The Fund Manager works as the first point of contact with limited partner investors and both internal and external constituents in the management of the day-to-day operations of each syndicated fund. The Fund Manager is also responsible for managing and reporting on the overall financial performance of each syndicated fund. The role requires substantial skills in financial analysis, a strong understanding of financial models, and familiarity with internal rate of return concepts. The Fund Manager is also responsible for coordinating the efforts of internal team members, outside accountants, and outside counsel.

Summary of Essential Job Functions The Syndication Fund Manager will be responsible for the following: • Communicating with investors and responding to investor requests, • Preparing and delivering annual and quarterly reports to investors, including quarterly updates to the Syndicated Funds’ tax benefit schedules, • Facilitating the preparation of financial models of Syndicated Funds, including facilitating adjustments to the tax benefit schedule upon receipt of final tax information for each Syndicated Fund, • Communicating with internal USBCDC Asset Managers regarding lower tier consent requests, which includes moderate interpretation of the legal documentation associated with each Syndicated Fund, • Limited travel associated with maintaining investor relations, • Routine journal entries associated with keeping the books of the Syndicated Funds, • Coordinating the preparation of the Syndicated Funds’ annual audited financial statements, • Coordinating and assisting with the preparation of syndicated fund tax returns, • Preparing and filing tax documents related to syndicated funds, • Processing legal documentation and invoices related to syndicated funds. • Obtaining and reviewing tax returns of lower tier fund investments, • Obtaining and reviewing audited financial statements of lower tier fund investments,

Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree, • 5 years of experience in related finance, banking, or tax credit experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience • MBA, CPA, JD, or CFA candidate, • At least 2 years prior relationship management experience, • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and understanding sophisticated financial models, • Ability to understand and interpret financial models based on IRR, XIRR, and MIRR, • Excellent time-management skills, • Understanding of partnership tax returns, • Understanding of partnership financial statements, • Understanding of basic accounting and/or bookkeeping, • Understanding of partnership tax concepts and/or partnership law and partnership legal documents, • Self-starter able to work in environment with minimal direction.

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $86,360.00 - $101,600.00 - $111,760.00
