Job DescriptionJob Description The Senior Investment Accountant is responsible for various accounting functions primarily related to a large tax credit investment portfolio including onboarding financial information into the system of record, review and analysis of financial drivers, maintaining accounting records and key controls over financial reporting. Responsibilities include maintaining general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts, research and resolution of various accounting issues, journal entry preparation and reporting for management and/or regulatory authorities. The Senior Investment Accountant responds to inquiries from business lines and other internal partners and completes quarterly reporting and other activities as needed (i.e. audit support, project work).
Responsibilities: Supervise accounting for syndication portfolio activity
Regulatory and quarterly corporate reporting
Monthly financial analysis
Review financial driver updates, onboarding of deals and monthly accounting entries
Accounting systems testing as assigned
Audit request support as needed
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred) or related field, or equivalent work experience - Six or more years of accounting experience
Preferred Skills/Experience - Considerable knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations - Knowledge of tax credit investments - Ability to manage multiple tasks - Effective verbal and written communication skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - CPA preferred
