Job DescriptionUSBCDC is currently seeking a Senior Accounting Policy Manager. This person needs to be agile, flexible, have strong collaboration skills and thrive in a team-oriented environment. This person will proactively lead projects related to the monitoring, research, documentation and execution of new accounting pronouncements and new or unusual transactions. In this position, the Senior AP Manager will have the opportunity to influence the trajectory of USBCDC’s growth, develop a deep understanding of our business and partner with a wide variety of partners across the company,

This hands on individual contributor leadership role has significant subject matter expertise in GAAP technical matters and will develop and execute critical polices related to complex tax advantaged investments and new product development.

This role acts as a business partner to provide guidance on the accounting for new, significant, and/or complex transactions or products and is directly involved in critical decision-making activities that drive or enhance business performance and related impacts to financial results. Additionally, this person ensures business lines, finance, accounting and tax groups have a clear understanding of accounting policies, tax strategies and potential impacts; and operational processes are considered in the implementation of accounting policies.

This role will help develop and lead ongoing internal technical accounting training.

The ability to effectively identify and communicate the accounting impacts of complex transactions to USBCDC’s leadership team are also key elements of this role. The ideal candidate has the ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel, including senior management.

Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred) or related field, or equivalent work experience - Eight or more years of accounting experience

Preferred Skills/ Experience - Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with consolidation, variable interest entities ,revenue recognition and transfers of financial assets - Considerable knowledge of tax and accounting principles, theories and controls - Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills - Experience writing accounting memorandums on complex accounting issues and summarizing accounting developments for non-technical audience - Poise and presence to work with senior leadership - Effective presentation skills - Effective project management skills – experience implementing new accounting policies that may require coordination of systems, business line and other personnel

This position is available for a hybrid office arrangement (in-office 3 days/week) or full-time remote (telecommute). Full-time remote employees will visit St. Louis office 2+ times per year.

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $111,690.00 - $131,400.00 - $144,540.00
