U.S. Bank Business Technology Analyst 4 - St. Louis, MO in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri

U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions (RPS) is looking for a business technology analyst with a record of success in requirements gathering, data analysis, and solutions design for reporting systems and workflow applications.

  • Responsible for working across disciplines with partners in Collections, Recovery Compliance, and various support groups to define reporting and application solutions.

  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to identify, define, and capture business requirements.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends technical solutions.

  • Shares requirements with developers, testers, managers, and other stakeholders on a regular basis, and incorporates their feedback into requirement and design documents.

  • Collaborates with an agile scrum team to ensure the successful design, development, testing, and delivery of solutions.

  • Analyzes data flows, process flows, and table structures, and uses this information to guide requirements and system design documentation.

  • Analyzes and accesses data in SQL server, Oracle, and Netezza databases with SQL queries.

  • Writes and executes SQL queries to address urgent or ad hoc data requests.

  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, focuses on detail, emphasizes problem-solving and root cause analysis, and strives for quality in all documentation, development, and solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Eight or more years of experience in computer technology applications and analysis

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Demonstrated experience with requirements elicitation and analysis

  • Strong ability to analyze a business need, including scheduling meetings, defining agendas, collaborating with business leaders, and documenting decisions

  • Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting and problem solving

  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis and reporting

  • Demonstrated experience writing queries using SQL

  • Experience with Tableau and similar BI tools

  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle and agile methodologies

  • Ability to develop test plans and track test results

  • Knowledge of application functionality

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Enjoys working as a leader within a dynamic team environment
