U.S. Bank Business Systems Consultant - Community Development Corporation in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri

U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation (USBCDC) seeks a Business Systems Consultant to join its growing Information Technology (IT) team. In both a liaison and consulting capacity, this individual will help develop use cases and business line requirements for new strategic technology solutions, apply technology to solve complex business challenges, help facilitate technical documentation and training, and support the IT team’s compliance and technical support efforts.

The Business Systems Consultant will work with, and alongside of, a team of Business Systems Analysts who also support IT projects. The Consultant’s efforts will be focused on larger, longer-term initiatives that are in their earliest stages, require in-depth analysis to inform USBCDC’s future priorities and strategic planning, are particularly time-sensitive, and/or are driven by regulatory or technology changes at the enterprise level. Consultation and collaboration with senior business stakeholders will be imperative to identify, refine and document the technology solutions needed to streamline processes and improve business results across USBCDC.

This role will also manage the operations of USBCDC’s IT helpdesk by: ensuring proper coverage, triage and issue escalation by the Business Systems Analysts; establishing procedures for consistent issue resolution and documentation; proactively making recommendations to solve the root causes of recurring issues; and reporting on key metrics.

Additional responsibilities of the Business Systems Consultant may include, but are not limited to: managing the piloting and implementation of company-wide software rollouts, including troubleshooting, identifying use cases and recommending best practices; drafting IT reference and training materials as needed; working with IT managers to ensure that information requests from IT auditors, regulators and other oversight groups are fulfilled in a timely fashion; and investigating the feasibility of new technology solutions that are available through U.S. Bank.

A successful Business Systems Consultant will develop and maintain a complete, accurate understanding of how USBCDC conducts its business, as well as a functional understanding of USBCDC’s and U.S. Bank’s ever-evolving technology landscape. This position also is expected to be aware of – and influence – USBCDC’s future technology capabilities and strategies in partnership with the rest of the IT team.

The ideal candidate will: demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills; have experience collaborating with senior managers; possess prior experience working in an Agile environment; be self-organizing and operate with minimal supervision; exhibit a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement; be able to balance multiple priorities and deadlines; enjoy regularly tackling new challenges; and have experience using advanced Office 365 applications to improve business processes and productivity, including SharePoint, Flow, Teams and PowerApps.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

-At least 10 years experience with activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities, benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.

Preferred Skills/Experience

Working experience in:

• Information management, IT project management and the system development life cycle

• Accounting, Finance, Legal, Tax, and or Risk

• Agile software development

• Product and vendor evaluation and management

• Process mapping using Microsoft Visio or similar tools

• Spearheading project funding approvals, risk assessments and change management in a large corporate environment

• Using Azure DevOps Server or similar software for requirements documentation and project management

• IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow

• Using and administering Microsoft Office 365 advanced tools, including SharePoint, Flow, Teams and PowerApps

• SOX controls and testing
