U.S. Bank Network Automation Engineer - Richfield, MN in RICHFIELD, Minnesota
U.S. Bank is seeking a Network Automation Engineer on the infrastructure side to help lead our transformation into the digital age. This individual will work to help automate migration, management and maintenance tasks for both on-premise and cloud environments. This individual could have experience with any of the major cloud providers such as, AWS, GCP or Azure. Applicant should have proven and demonstratable skills with Ansible and/or Terrraform. Ideally, this individual would also have some network experience.
The Network Automation Engineer will focus on designing, coding and implementing reusable Ansible and/or Terraform modules for infrastructure. These modules could be for on-premise automation, cloud migration or cloud maintenance and scalability. Candidate should possess the ability to see a manual process or problem and build automated solutions. This individual will spend roughly equal parts of their time working independently, collaborating with other members of the IT organization, and collaborating with other departments like Security, DevOps, and Engineering. This role will require significant organizational, research, and workload management skills

-Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 5 years experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment.
-At least 5 years experience with managing day-to-day delivery of satisfactory network services to clients.
At least 2 years experience with Terraform and/or Ansible
Demonstratable knowledge of with any of the major cloud providers
Proficient with git and git workflows to manage source code changes
Proficient hands-on programming expertise with the following languages: Python, Shell
Strong knowledge of Agile Development framework such as SCRUM
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Cloud and on-premise security & automation
Proven ability to adapt to change and manage multiple project deliverables
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
System and technical integration
Advanced level experience in Hashicorp Terraform, Vault and/or Packer
Extensive experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting cloud-based infrastructure
Mix between Software Development and Network Administration experience
Knowledge in Kubernetes, Apprenda, Azure & AWS
Strong knowledge of networking/security: DHCP/DNS servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and security
Firewall and load balancer experience
Knowledge of UNIX system internals
IT infrastructure, standards, procedures & policy
-Trusted technical advisor to customers and capable of solving complex Cloud Infrastructure and Networking challenges
