Job DescriptionThe Product Manager-Payment Billing (for MPS) will help direct the development of Elavon’s merchant processing application. These developments include, but not limited to, improving workflow and operating efficiency related to transaction processing, interchange qualifications, customer payments, customer billing, and customer statements. Additional responsibilities include: Makes recommendations to procedures and processes in the area of merchant billing, workflow design, statements, and applications that pose financial risk to the organization;
Manages other product managers and product analysts to assign workload, employee development, and engagement to build expertise on platform functionality;
Acts as a liaison and technical resource between management, other business groups, and information systems to address production issues;
Leads the product management role for one of the Agile product groups for the Merchant Processing Systems (MPS);
Monitors and analyzes the MPS to alert management of possible errors with priority focus on financial risk;
Performs data analysis and performs SQL queries in the data warehouse;
Ensures all documentation and requests comply with established policies and procedures;
Develops in-depth knowledge of the information needs of assigned business unit(s) and pursues the business, managerial, and technical skills necessary to support those needs;
Coordinates and/or participates in special task forces to identify and respond to user needs; and
Maintains an awareness of current legislation, developments, and conditions affecting assigned business unit operation policies, procedures, programs, etc.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Eight or more years of related work experience
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Payment processing knowledge - Working with Agile methodology - Expert knowledge of the assigned business line and technical marketing skills - Strong product management, design, and development skills - Considerable knowledge of product/program development, pricing, implementation, and strategic analysis - Demonstrated marketing and marketing research skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong financial and competitive analysis and computer skills - Demonstrated management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
