U.S. Bank Senior Windows Operating System Engineer - Multiple Locations in Phoenix, Arizona

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with extensive Windows Workstation Operating System experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Leads creation of standards for new technology. Designs, models, and implements hardware and software solutions for workstation platform hardware and software solutions. Provides guidance to external/internal groups for multiple disciplines. Directs or recommends enhancements for Operating System performance, reliability, scalability. Leads the configuration of hardware and software solutions. Evaluates product and service solutions. Leads and develops enterprise standards. Models and provides solutions targeted to meet existing, enhanced, and new platform solutions for business services. Leads advanced knowledge sharing and recommendations for Windows Operating System configurations, security, and services. Develops new solutions and integrated service offerings to meet large-scale or enterprise projects or service requirements. Provides senior technical leadership representing Operating System and software configurations in cross-functional team. Recommend improvement for systems, network, and security problems at an advanced level across multiple services, and platforms (Active Directory /GPO/Configuration Manager).Creates, directs, and leads technical team efforts for performance improvement, expansion, and procedures across multiple/converged services and platforms. Works effectively with all technical disciplines and senior management. Authors and provides input for multiple and systems and services, system documentation, procedures, and processes. Coordinates the maintenance and modification Windows Operating systems. For multiple and converged systems and services will lead or provide guidance for advanced technical support.

Basic Qualifications

-Associate's degree or equivalent work experience

-At least 5 years experience within a total information technology (IT) environment.

-At least 10 years experience with the design, development and support of technology infrastructure.

Preferred Skills/Experience

-Windows Operating System, Hardware driver and application interaction

  • Creation of workstation build images, driver support packages and configuring features and functions to meet modern best practices

-Understanding and enhancing user experience

-Managing multiple Windows Operating System images/build processes across multiple domains

-Large scale, complex, Risk sensitive environments (50,000 workstation, 1000 applications) environment experience

-Windows optimization (Build and ongoing use)

-Systems programming

-IT industry Windows trends and direction

-IT Windows architecture

-Configuration management

-IT standards, procedures, policy

-Ability to be conscious of optimal user experience

-Performance measurements and tuning

Subject matter expert in:

-Windows Operating System hardening concepts, coordination with security groups and industry best practices.

-Microsoft Configuration Manager functions (OSD, Task Sequence, Compliance baselines and configuration Items)

-PowerShell and C or other equivalent languages

-Understanding of emerging Operating System change and new technology.

-AD/GPO (Multi Domain)

-OS Modern application and interactions with the Store for Business.

-Telemetry use concepts and best practices

-Tactics and solutions to aid support groups
