Job Description

U.S. Bank is looking for a top-performing Relationship Manager with an innovative, driven and customer-centric mindset to help us successfully manage and acquire prospective and existing commercial banking clients in the greater Phoenix market.

This exciting role includes the following:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of existing clients.

  • Prospect for and close new business relationships while also retaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.

  • Provide financial advice to customers and sell appropriate bank products and services to those prospects and clients.

  • Successfully capitalize on cross-sell opportunities and make appropriate referrals across business lines with various product partners utilizing a consultative approach.

  • Identify key risk factors associated with business opportunities and base credit recommendations accordingly.

  • Take an active role in community and networking events to increase awareness and presence of U.S. Bank in the market.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of commercial lending experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Considerable knowledge and experience in managing and growing a large and complex portfolio of commercial banking relationships

  • Strong leadership and strategic relationship management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Considerable knowledge of credit products and credit analysis

  • Thorough knowledge of bank products and services

  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships
