Job DescriptionJob Description The Special Asset Case Manager will be responsible for partnering with internal business lines, internal law division and external law firms regarding loans with title issues, contested foreclosure actions, and probate actions . They will provide analytical support in these matters including collaborating with foreclosure counsel on the loans active in foreclosure, as well as hiring legal counsel to ensure U.S. Bank is properly represented on matters where collateral may be affected. The Title/Contested Case Manager performs research, analysis, and maintains well-written case summaries to ensure business line visibility and understanding of the issues at hand. The Title/Contested Case Manager will be comfortable communicating with all levels of management and ensures attorney-client work privilege is always maintained. Essential Functions: -Engage default firms to protect U.S. Bank’s interest -Perform research and analysis of loans -Monitor legal issue populations with emphasis to resolve issues in timely manner -Participate in conference calls with default firms, partnering business lines, and leadership team -Work various reports to provide insight of loan population to partnering busines lines and leadership team -Create and maintain case summaries on each file within population Preferred Skills/Experience -3-5 years experience in mortgage servicing, with at least some default servicing experience. -Self Driven and highly motivated -Good verbal, grammatical and written communication skills -Well-developed reading, writing, and mathematical skills -Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously -Proficient PC skills, especially Microsoft Office applications and graphics -Demonstrated administrative skills and acute attention to detail -Strong organization and time management skills -Strong Problem-Solving and analytical skills
