Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Mortgage Loan Specialist for our Special Loans team in Owensboro, KY. This Mortgage Loan Specialist will be responsible for managing and facilitating the process, approvals and servicing of Adjustable Rate Mortgages (ARMs). This person will work closely with borrowers, underwriter and other stake holders to ensure the successful organization, adjustment and management of the ARM loans.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist borrowers in understanding the features and terms of adjustable rate mortgages

  • Collect and review loan application, financial document and credit reports.

  • Monitor and update interest rate changes and communicate adjustments to borrowers

  • Explain rate changes and payment implications

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as company policies

  • Resolve issues, disputes or discrepancy professionally.

  • Collaborate with other department or teams to communicate or resolve issues.

Basic Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Two to four years of experience in business and general office environment

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Prior U.S Bank experience in mortgage lending specifically with adjustable rates preferred

  • In-depth understanding of ARM loans products including understanding of caps margin, indices

  • Familiar with mortgage origination software and systems.

  • Strong understanding of mortgage compliance and regulatory guides

  • Detailed oriented with a focus on accuracy and documentation

  • Proficient with Microsoft products such as Excel, Teams and Outlook

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $20.00 - $20.00 - $22.00
