Job Description

The Commercial Banking Group of U.S. Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager who will manage and grow a very large and very complex portfolio of commercial loans. This person will prospect for and close new business relationships with revenues of $25 million to $1 billion and retain and expand relationships with existing customers. The ideal person sells appropriate bank products and services to those prospects and clients, identifying and successfully capitalizing on cross-sell opportunities and making appropriate referrals. This Relationship Manager will provide financial advice to customers. They will approve loans within assigned limits, manage loan and portfolio credit quality.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of banking experience

  • Knowledge of unit(s) and relation to industry

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Considerable tact, diplomacy and people skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Considerable knowledge and experience in managing and growing a large and complex portfolio of commercial loans

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at a U.S. Bank location, while

having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.
