Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a motivated Cloud Risk Manager with technical design and architecture experience to contribute toward the success of our strategic initiatives.

A key focus in the Bank’s modernization efforts is to improve agility and delivery effectiveness.

This will be accomplished by leveraging APIs, microservices, DevOps, and containers to migrate towards a cloud-native architecture to support higher performance, availability, reliability, and security.

The Cloud Risk Manager will partner with infrastructure, application development and information security functions to ensure the risk associated with the proposed business and technical solutions align with the enterprise’s overall mission, vision, and risk posture.

The Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying and advising on risk mitigating strategies related to an application’s architecture and blueprints on which functional and non-functional requirements can be met.

The Risk Manager focused on cloud architecture is a critical thought leader for the creation of integration architecture patterns, guardrails, guidelines, and standards to support cloud requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Seven to ten years of applicable experience

Necessary Skills

  • 5 years or more of experience with the concepts, philosophies, and tools behind the design of cloud infrastructure and applications, and underlying information technologies and tools

  • Extensive experience in one of the Cloud Technologies in Public or Private Cloud – DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Container based applications, Cloud Native application development, Cloud Security and Data Protection, Micro Service Architecture

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and or AWS

  • Experience in System development lifecycle and Product-based agile development.

  • Experience in Distributed platforms, Open API strategies, Information security management, Cloud migration strategies.

  • Risk Management of Public cloud-based systems

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience with cloud Application testing, Application development tools, User interface design, Business process modeling, Application delivery process, Application design and architecture.

  • Experience collaborating with technology functions to develop risk mitigating processes for enterprise architecture governance

  • Strong leadership & collaboration skills with solid communication skills, both written and oral

  • Engaging approach, with a hands-on style to solving business issues through risk management frameworks and technology best practices

  • Practical and thoughtful understanding of architectural & development principles and technique

  • Proven ability to work effectively in the typical ambiguity of larger designs and implementation plans

  • Experience implementing NIST Cyber Security Framework, COBIT 2019, CCA Cloud Control Matrix, PCI DSS etc.

  • Certifications in Azure, AWS, CISSP, or CISA

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $95,540.00 - $112,400.00 - $123,640.00
