Job Description The Business Access Advisor plays a pivotal role in driving sustainable business growth and job creation for minority entrepreneurs. This is done by approaching every day with a dedicated purpose - Engaging our communities and employees to educate and remove barriers for minority businesses, and delivering trusted guidance to help entrepreneurs achieve their vision of success. This role will be responsible for:

Developing strong connections and advocating awareness with the communities we serve and U.S. Bank employees. This may be accomplished through participation in local events and organizations focused on supporting minority businesses, as well as internal socialization amongst employees. Creating strong client relationships with minority business owners which are based on trust and a dedication to growth and sustainability. Assisting business owners navigate and access resources with local small business support organizations, and recommending U.S. Bank solutions based on each client’s unique goals and needs. Serving as an advisor for our minority business clients with a focus on building, developing, and managing new and existing relationships and delivering financial expertise and client-centric solutions that build strong, long-term relationships.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience Seven or more years of experience in relationship banking

Preferred Skills/Experience Prior involvement in community engagement activities supporting minority owned businesses Experience working with CDFI and other non-profit organizations that provide services to minority entrepreneurs Strong relationship management and business development abilities Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills Basic knowledge of credit administration, analysis, and credit policy/procedure Knowledge of cash flow management and business credit underwriting with commercial credit training preferred Demonstrated understanding of basic financial accounting and analysis Broad knowledge of bank products and services that results in successfully identifying appropriate opportunities to sell the bank’s products Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated business acumen with knowledge of diverse types of businesses, industries, markets, financial and economic concepts
