Job Description
This role will be responsible for supporting the build out of the bank’s Climate Risk Program. This role will support the development and implementation of scenario analysis capabilities to assess the potential impact of climate physical risks and transition risks across the bank’s portfolios. Working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, including the Economic Scenarios & Analytics Team, Central Stress Testing Organization, Credit Risk Management, ESG Team, and Business Lines, the successful candidate will support the implementation, execution, and coordination of the climate scenario analysis program.
Responsibilities will include:
• Contribute to the successful execution of enterprise-wide initiatives to build out Climate Risk scenario analysis / stress testing capabilities covering Physical and Transition Risks
• Provide project management of climate scenario analysis projects
• Assess emerging Climate Risk scenarios (e.g., NGFS, IPCC), climate stress testing industry practices, and supervisory expectations
• Evaluate external vendor solutions to help fill gaps in data and/or analytical capabilities
• Provide quantitative and qualitative support, ad hoc analysis, and troubleshooting on climate scenario analysis projects as needed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically more than six years of applicable experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Climate scenario development and scenario expansion modeling experience or knowledge of risk modeling within a financial services setting
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams, which includes risk managers, economists, model developers, model validation, and business lines, experience successfully managing cross-functional quantitative projects
Familiarity with the increasing regulatory expectations facing banks related to climate risk
Excellent written and oral communications skills, with the ability to synthesize complex concepts, translate into ‘user friendly’ language and effectively present in documentation or slide presentations
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with multiple teams
Work independently to drive results, with a strong work ethic and willingness to “roll up your sleeves”
Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities and a high level of integrity to deal with highly confidential data
This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $99,365.00 - $116,900.00 - $128,590.00
