Position Summary:

As a Senior Agile Coach, you will focus on coaching and mentoring leaders and teams to adopt agile ways of working in a product-led organization; in addition to, be a servant leader to a team of coaches and scrum masters that will report to you. As a leader of Scrum Masters and Coaches, you’ll work to develop, nurture, empower and unlock the greatest potential in your team.

Must have experience with modern product management discovery and agile delivery practices, moving organizations from project to product, engineering practices and DevOps, outcome based planning and delivery (OKR), leading large, complex transformation engagements, communicating with c-suite leadership, delivering training at all levels of the organization, setting vision and aiding in leadership to remove impediments. Must be able to influence leadership, drive business agility, design thinking, value stream mapping, identify opportunities to create standout products and sustain transformation. Must have hands on experience creating and delivering transformation roadmaps, training leadership and continuously offering customized solutions to catalyze value delivery. Must have a growth mindset, be approachable, collaborative and enjoy working with passionate people. Proactive in solving problems to help their leaders and teams succeed.

You possess strategic vision and tactical mastery and combine it with an entrepreneurial spirit to get it done. You will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious objectives and work closely with partners across product teams to design innovative solutions and balance challenging priorities and demands. You are laser-focused on operational excellence and customer satisfaction and you'll need to wear many hats, so flexibility and a can-do attitude are critical!

The Digital Platforms portfolio creates a robust development ecosystem of reusable interfaces and components which unleashes our engineers to quickly deliver reliable, secure, high-quality software for our customers and provides enterprise solutions that revolutionize digital banking. Our products, platforms and services include; customer data and personalization, API platforms and services, sales and onboarding, servicing and interfaces, document management, consumer identity, money movement transactions and more.

Major Responsibility:

  • Lead a team of scrum masters and coaches; coach, mentor and guide them; act as a servant leader to your team, enabling them to reach their highest potential; support their career development, help set development goals, summarize performance highlights and peer/partner feedback at year-end

  • Create strategic coaching objectives in partnership with leaders and your team to drive adoption, maturity and optimization of agile and product mindset and practices

  • Coach, teach and partner with leaders and teams to develop transparency to strategies, objectives and work; facilitate product chartering, roadmaps, OKRs, ruthless prioritization techniques and celebrate outcomes in creative ways

  • Develop transformation roadmaps that incorporate a continuous focus on improving agile ways of working, product discovery and continuous delivery

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, psychological safety, communication, transparency and growth mindset

  • Deliver role-based product training, workshops for leadership and enable employee engagement

  • Remove roadblocks and promote a culture that fosters problem solving, learning, innovation, experimentation and focuses on value delivery

  • Drive alignment and coordination across multiple product teams to optimize execution and communication and value delivery via outcome-based goals (OKR)

  • Build and sustain autonomous teams while aligning with enterprise goals

  • Utilize feedback and metrics to work with other coaches and scrum masters and focus on continuous improvement

  • Apply lean change management principles

  • Analyze value stream and identify waste that can be minimized or eliminated

  • Coach leaders on product team roles and optimal product team org designs to achieve value delivery within a persistent team minimizing dependencies where possible

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution; identify and overcome challenges as they arise

  • Strong facilitator who can lead a group session but who is equally comfortable in a collaboration role. You also understand when taking the lead is required and when it's better to let others challenge themselves to lead.

  • Embrace the agile mindset, advocate and champion agile across the organization by challenging, coaching, and guiding teams using agile and lean principles

  • Provide creative solutions to agile transformation issues: resistance to change, limited resources, conflicting priorities, lack of accountability

  • Responsible for removing impediments that hinder the team from reaching their goals and has a flexible approach that enables the team to rapidly respond to changes.

  • Foster a continuous improvement environment in order to build high-performing, agile teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of experience in Information Technology environment

  • Seven or more years of experience with Agile frameworks and support tools

  • Five or more years of experience within an Agile solution environment working on large scale, multiple scrum team

  • Three or more years of experience leading Agile transformation

  • Agile or Professional Coaching certification, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Agile values, principles and practices

  • Experience as an Agile or Product Coach serving multiple teams simultaneously

  • Working knowledge and experience with Design Sprints and/or Product Discovery tactics

  • ICAgile Professional Agile Coaching certification or equivalent preferred

  • Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, and other Agile frameworks

  • Experience using agile tools such as Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, Mural, roadmunk, MS Teams

  • Experience with co-located and distributed teams, in multiple time zones

  • Demonstrated ability to partner and communicate effectively with non-technical team members, resolving contending or contradictory objectives, and unifying disparate ideas into a homogenized solution

  • Possess the ability to influence others, implement change, and standardize processes in a complex business environment

  • A passion for mentoring and growing the potential of others

  • Great teammate - should be ready to go beyond to help the immediate team; roll-up your sleeves and lead by doing when appropriate to facilitate learning

  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and bring new ideas to the table

  • Demonstrated growth mindset

  • Extensive experience with Agile product management and engineering practices

  • Working knowledge of system development lifecycle (SDLC) and process change/improvement

  • Experience coaching and communicating with executive leaders (lead through influence)

  • Ability to coach, teach and guide leaders and teams through outcomes-based planning and value delivery (OKR)

  • Demonstrated ability to measure the direct and indirect impacts of their coaching

  • Demonstrated experience creatively solving complex business problems

  • Ability to work in ambiguity and iterate to a solution – can estimate and solve basic business problems without explicit direction

  • Creative, flexible, and willing to continuously change, evolve, and improve software development processes

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $120,870.00 - $142,200.00 - $156,420.00
