Job DescriptionReporting to the head of Global Structured Finance (GSF), the incumbent in this role leads the product, strategy, market and revenue functions of the commercial real estate securitization trust product groups (CRES) for Corporate Trust. Superior influencing skills are required, as this leader must set direction with multiple functional and business line leaders not in his/her direct reporting line in order to successfully execute against the product's strategic priorities. Product leader will work closely with the back and middle office operations for both the Global Structured Finance (GSF) and CDO business lines respectively, ensuring the operational functions support the strategy of the overall business. Product leader will also coordinate with internal Commercial Real Estate business partners to coordinate client overlap and new client opportunities.
Financial Administration Accountable for all aspects of the revenue for the P&L. Partners with the head of GSF and CDO to manage P&L margin and to establish and maintain pricing guidelines. Contributes to the setting of revenue targets for the products and is charged with meeting said revenue targets. Provides management reporting to senior leadership. Identifies technology strategy and opportunities for enhancements.
Establishing Strategic Direction Responsible for establishing and implementing product strategy and priorities for the business.
Business Development Direct sales priorities of business development officers for the product. Oversee marketing plans. Evaluates and executes on acquisition opportunities.
Product Management Incumbent is responsible for product management, including all revenue, pricing and product expansion initiatives. Identifies and capitalizes on product expansion efforts.
Risk Management Incumbent is responsible for establishing and maintaining appropriate risk parameters consistent with GCTC standards.
Leadership Leads a team of relationship managers who will help drive the revenue for the products
8+ years of banking experience
3+ years of management experience
BA/MBA in finance, accounting, or other related field
Well-developed leadership abilities and strategic management skills
Knowledge of unit(s) and relation to industry
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
Considerable tact, diplomacy and people skills.
Preferred Qualifications CMBS or CRE market experience
Corporate Trust experience
Travel expected 25% plus
