Job Description
In this role you will partner with cross-functional teams to synthesize relevant business intelligence, including real-time insights and analysis of BNPL revenue opportunity using data analytics and power BI tools across across Consumer, Risk, Sales, and Product teams.
Responsibilities:
Ability to analyze complex data sets and make succinct recommendations
Manipulate and analyze data from a wide variety of corporate databases, including various SQL databases, Access, Excel, plain or formatted text files, Oracle, and no-SQL databases
Provide technology leadership in analytics visualization to design solutions and deliver effective user-centric and intuitive analytics tools and dashboards
To identify and assist in developing propositions
Work with database developers to optimize performance of reporting environment individual reports
Assess current state of operational performance through data analysis and internal and external stakeholder discussions
Develop and present compelling business cases (proposals) to implement changes that will optimize our services, translating technical data and concepts into ‘plain English’ for non-technical stakeholders and articulating the revenue opportunity
Work with the BI team (who focus on how we use leverage our data externally) to share knowledge, approach, and insights
Embed the connected digital platforms and propositions data strategy and ensure that insights delivered are strategic, impactful, measurable and drive business improvements
Support management’s interactions by responding to requests for reports, models and/or other ad-hoc analysis
Maintain constant coverage of industry-related news, trends, and developments and disseminates insights when appropriate to internal stakeholders.
Support preparations for industry and company-sponsored events/conferences, as needed
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to independently manage large projects
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
8+ years of data analytics experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Software development skills in high level languages (R/C#/C/C++/Java/Python) and rapid prototyping platform (MATLAB/SIMULINK)
Provides customized (statistical) analyses for client work
Work with project stakeholders to identify business needs and gather requirements for data visualization or deployment of BI tools
Experience with large data sets and analytics tools
Strong knowledge of information technology, risk controls and application controls
5+ years’ experience at a startup, investment bank, or management consulting firm preferred
Strategic Mindset: able to think multiple steps ahead on the implications of financial decisions and approaches
Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools are critical
CISA, SAS certifications or licenses
Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required. Proven track record of the ability to present thoughtful input to controversial decision making and materially influence others
Ability to prioritize, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth-oriented environment
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Able to lead, influence and partner within a matrixed environment.
Prior experience working in and thriving in a shared services environment

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,595.00 - $140,700.00 - $154,770.00
