Job DescriptionThe Third Party Event Analyst is responsible for monitoring, identifying, researching and assessing external threat intelligence received from multiple tools and sources. The analyst will perform event assessment and management activities including compiling and analyzing information and documentation, identifying appropriate business line and enterprise stakeholders and facilitating communication. This analyst will collaborate on numerous projects and improvement initiatives while supporting operational Third Party monitoring and oversight activities.

Essential Functions Business Knowledge: Understands U.S. Bank business line products and services and is able to identify and address the associated risks and controls relevant to Third Party products and services. Demonstrates ability to recognize the relevance of risk trends, issues and potential risk exposure, and recommends actions to address/remediate. Regulatory Fundamentals: Demonstrates fundamental knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and can identify key risk and controls related to third party relationships, as well as identify gaps and drive solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors. Understands the importance and demands of regulatory examinations and internal audits. Third Party Oversight Fundamentals: Knowledgeable in the application of regulatory guidance to Third Party governance documentation and corporate policies governing third party risk management. Performs responsibilities in accordance with procedures and Code of Conduct; performs peer reviews and quality assurance activities to ensure work product is performed in accordance with procedures; and proactively anticipates and responds to stakeholder questions and concerns. Communication and Relationship Building: Builds and maintains positive relationships with management, business line, third party teams, TPRM team members, and stakeholders across U.S. Bank using effective written and oral communication practices, and is able to tailor communication to the audience level of understanding. Fosters collaboration internally through diplomacy and assertiveness across the U.S. Bank enterprise while drawing in diverse groups to share ideas, information and resources to strengthen the Third Party Event Awareness Program. Encourages and fosters cooperation and trust between teams, departments, third parties, and other groups. Is able to influence others using program knowledge, negotiation methods, and is able to overcome objections to foster consensus among constituents. Performance Development and Management: Models behavior that supports the vision of TPRM and U.S. Bank. Sets clear, well-defined, desired outcomes for work activity and tracks progress while coping with challenging workloads. Able to adjust to and address competing priorities and urgent tasks. Maintains composure under pressure to assess and respond to incidents and escalations. Demonstrates exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage a rigorous workload with conflicting priories.

Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, - 5-7 years of experience in an applicable risk management environment - Applicable professional certifications (CISSP, CTPRP, CERP)

Preferred Skills/Experience - Experience in Third Party risk management, compliance and/or audit, with demonstrable ability to identify risks associated with financial products and services - Experience leading special projects requiring collaboration across teams and/or departments services - Experience developing and maintaining procedures, response playbooks and stakeholder guidance - Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously - Proven adaptability to changing priorities - Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
