Equipment Finance Loss Mitigation DefaultManagement has an opening for three Loss Mitigation SpecialistsThese positionscan be located in Marshall MN, Richfield / Minneapolis MN or Portland OR

In this position you would be responsiblefor strategies to maximize recovery opportunities and minimize losses as wellas ensure effective and appropriate handling of U.S. Bank Equipment Financeexposures within the regulatory and procedure guidelines established. Theposition will allow you the opportunity to work in a fast pace environment ,with a high energy team of talented and skilled individuals.

Job Responsibilities –

  • Review and analyze assigned files todetermine enhanced collection strategy to employ utilizing the establishedtools and parameters

  • Responsible for maintaining bad debtrecovery projections on assigned contracts

  • Continued follow-up on assignedfiles and maintain adequate records of all interactions within the system ofrecord

  • Timely and accurately responding todiscovery and data requests

  • Facilitate required InventoryReconciliations

  • Prepare for and provide statusupdates through Portfolio Reviews and weekly Loss Forecast meetings

  • Ensure regulatory compliance in allaspects of managing assigned contracts

  • Processing and recording of cashreceived, including documentation within the system of record, recommendationof cash adjustments, and any necessary fee waivers

  • Review attorney invoices of accuracyand prepare for submission of approval

  • Provide support to peers byconsulting on collection strategy and reviewing problematic contracts that mayrequire further action

  • Fully support U.S. Bank EquipmentFinance Client Advocacy

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Three to five years of experience in lending/account management activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong negotiation and critical thinking skills in order to navigate complex loss mitigation situations.

  • Well-developed customer service/relations skills

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Leadership proficiencies

  • Intermediate knowledge using excel
