Job Description

Responsible for coaching teams to adopt and implement Agile and product management practices. Acts as a change agent who helps set the vision, show the way, and provide thought leadership on removing impediments to Agile success. Coaches and mentors cross-functional teams and/or groups of teams including Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Technical Leads, Developers, User Experience professionals, and executives to leverage Agile principles, modern engineering practices and frameworks to deliver high value business capabilities. Helps to coach the team on product management, design thinking, engineering culture, and DevOps. Serves as a subject matter expert on scaling Agile development, embraces servant leadership, understands engineering practices and serves as a role model for the team to model Agile behaviors and mindsets, which includes key mindset shifts in the journey to Agile (i.e. from Project to Product). Designs, develops and facilitates training of Agile practices to assigned teams. Performs evaluations, and reviews of processes and methodologies. Identifies strengths and continuous improvement recommendations of existing processes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 15 or more years of experience in Information Technology environment

  • Seven or more years of experience with Agile frameworks and support tools

  • Five or more years of experience within an Agile solution environment working on large scale, multiple scrum team

  • Three or more years of experience leading Agile transformation

  • Agile or Professional Coaching certification, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Extensive experience with Agile engineering practices and techniques

  • Working knowledge of system development lifecycle (SDLC) and process change/improvement

  • Experience communicating with leadership (lead through influence)

  • Working knowledge of modern product management discovery practices

  • Demonstrated understand of outcomes-based planning and delivery (OKR)

  • Demonstrated experience working with User Experience professionals

  • Demonstrated ability to measure the direct and indirect impacts of their coaching

  • Demonstrated experience in leading all aspects of Agile transformation

  • Experience communicating with leadership (influencing without authority)

  • Demonstrated experience solving complex business problems

  • Experience with co-located and non-co-located teams, including offshore model

  • Demonstrated experience with agile tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Version One, Mural
