Job Description

U.S. Bank’s Global Treasury Management (GTM) business is one of the largest providers of payments and cash management solutions in United States across a diverse base of corporate, public sector, financial institutions, commercial and business banking customers.

This dynamic senior leadership provides strategic direction and execution leadership to our new product development and emerging products pipeline. This highly visible and strategic role will lead a team of product managers and product developers and collaborate with internal partners to drive an enterprise approach to solve current and emerging customer challenges. Success will be measured through successful execution against a diverse set of product portfolio and delivery of new to market client ready solutions.

Responsible for:

  • Creating and executing on a clear, actionable product development roadmap with priorities to deliver optimal results for customers and the business

  • Providing business leadership and drive delivery in an agile product development environment

  • Developing and maintaining active stakeholder engagement with Technology and Operations Services, Enterprise Innovation, Sales, Marketing and other groups to drive alignment and coordinated execution approach

  • Partnering with other product areas (e.g. Retail Bank, Business Banking) to create one U.S. Bank approach

  • Representing the business within senior internal and industry wide stakeholder groups

  • Engaging with industry associations and payment networks and play a visible leadership role at industry events and conferences

  • Hiring and developing the talent pipeline within Product Development group

  • Managing the product development portfolio within appropriate controls environment

  • Supervisory functions include providing leadership and direction while coaching, training and providing work direction and feedback, and mentoring the team members; evaluating employee performance and making salary recommendations, performing all aspects of the staffing process including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff to ensure appropriate hiring practices and maintaining staffing level

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering or Business, or equivalent

work experience. MBA is strongly desired

  • 15+ years product management/ product development experience in Treasury

Management and/or in a digital product organization

Preferred Skills/ Experience

  • Expert knowledge of the business line’s operations, products/services,

  • systems, and associated risks/controls

  • Expert knowledge of product management competencies

  • Exceptional leadership and management skills of processes, projects and

  • people

  • A minimum of ten years of staff management experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, analytical,

  • problem-solving, persuasion skills, and negotiation skills

  • Proficient computer skills, using a variety of software packages including

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Experience in agile product development

  • Understanding of the payments landscape and trends

  • Familiarity with use of Application Programing Interface (APIs), Artificial

  • Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technology within Banks

  • Established track record of participating and leading within industry

  • stakeholder groups

  • A strong understanding of the Fintech industry is a plus
