Job Description Position Highlights
Fill a critical role by becoming a member of the partnership development team for the Elan credit card issuing programs, focused on sales initiatives to digitally focused banks and credit unions. Elan provides an outsourced credit card solution to numerous banks and credit unions across the United States. This role executes strategies and activities to add new issuing partners via purchase of an existing credit card asset and start up card issuing programs. The key responsibilities include:
Understand and strategically consider the value of an outsourcing solution within the financial institution market with an end focus on signing new partnerships and achieving internal goals. Strategically develop a financial institution prospect pipeline for opportunity targeting. Directly prospect and work with internal and external parties to develop sales opportunities that will lead to new financial institution issuing partners. Effectively communicate Elan’s business benefits, financial benefits, and partnership offers in various proposals. Ultimately, deliver the value of an outsourcing model for a credit card issuing program. Collaborate with internal teams and lead new partner discussions with setting partnership relationship terms, negotiations and finalizing agreements.
Keys to success are learning the benefits of Elan’s card program, understanding the financial impacts of an outsourcing solution, and sharing card industry trends.
This individual should possess strong attention to detail, work independently, have ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a comfort level in interacting with others in various deal related situations.
Along with the responsibilities above, this individual will use daily and leverage a CRM (Salesforce) to track interactions, opportunities, and provide appropriate reporting of pipeline activities.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience 12 or more years of financial sales experience Ability to travel full-time (nationally)

Five plus years of experience in payment industry sales development Strong ability to build relationships with c-level executives to share outsourcing strategies Excellent presentation and communication skills Excellent sales and new business development skills, including the development of sales strategies and goals and closing skills Extensive knowledge of unit payment products Extensive knowledge of the organization and its products, services and operations Advanced knowledge of product marketing, client service issues, and organization operations Strong marketing, negotiation and decision-making skills Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Strong customer service/relation skills with ability to creatively resolve client concerns and issues Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
