U.S. Bank Financial Analyst - Capital Management Group - Minneapolis, MN in MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota
This position is within the U.S. Bank Corporate Treasury Capital Management Group, which is responsible for managing, forecasting and reporting the capital adequacy of US Bancorp and its related subsidiaries in normal operating conditions as well as under stress. The Capital Management Group also plays a critical role in conducting the annual stress tests (i.e. CCAR and DFAST) prescribed under the Dodd-Frank Act. The stress tests have been designed by the Federal Reserve to assess capital adequacy of financial institutions under different economic stress scenarios.
The candidate will provide direct support to the Capital Forecast Manager by developing and consolidating the Company’s capital forecast. In addition, the role requires preparing presentations for senior management and risk governance committees, conducting capital related research and analysis based on industry and peer banks data, and keeping up-to-date with regulatory developments affecting capital adequacy and planning processes.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Five or more years of experience in financial analysis activities
Advanced knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures
Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills
Considerable knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and planning
Expert ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
-Solid knowledge of financial analysis, accounting principles, forecasting and planning
-Strong PC skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (knowledge of Hyperion Essbase a plus)
-Good written and verbal communications skills with ability to interact with multiple business lines
-Must be able to analyze and interpret data quickly and accurately
